When someone sends you a Monaris invoice, you can view it and pay in under a minute. Payment is private by default — only you and the sender see the details.

Who this is for

Anyone who receives an invoice from a Monaris user — whether you have a Monaris account or not.

How it works

Step 1 — Receive the invoice

You get the invoice one of two ways:
  • Monaris inbox — if you have a Monaris account, the invoice appears in your inbox automatically
  • Email — you receive a link to view the invoice in your browser

Step 2 — Review the details

Open the invoice. You see:
  • Amount (in USDC, USDT, or other supported stablecoin)
  • Who sent it
  • Due date
  • Description of work (if the sender included one)

Step 3 — Pay

  1. Click Pay Invoice
  2. Connect your wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, or another supported EVM wallet)
  3. Confirm the transaction in your wallet
That is it. Payment settles instantly.

Step 4 — What happens after you pay

  1. Payment routes through the Privacy Router — private by default
  2. The sender receives their funds immediately
  3. Invoice status becomes Cleared
  4. You and the sender each get a private receipt (visible only to the two of you)
  5. The sender’s Monaris Score increases automatically
  6. Mona may send the sender an insight about the payment (on-time streak, first payment from you, etc.)

Privacy

By default, this payment is private. The counterparty identities and amount are not exposed on the public blockchain in readable form. Only a proof-of-payment is anchored on-chain — verifiable if needed, but not readable by anyone browsing the chain.

Without a Monaris account

You do not need a Monaris account to pay. Click the email link, connect your wallet, and pay. You can create an account afterward to see your payment history, receipts, and start building your own Score.

FAQ

Is the payment instant? Yes. Stablecoin settlement is near-instant. The sender receives funds within seconds. Can I pay with any wallet? Any EVM-compatible wallet that supports WalletConnect or MetaMask works in V1. Will my payment be visible on the blockchain? The payment details (amount, sender, recipient) are private by default. A cryptographic proof-of-payment exists on-chain for verification, but it is not readable by the public.
