This is the definitive reference for all signals used by the Monaris Credit Algorithm (MCA) to calculate the Monaris Score. For a narrative overview, see Understanding the Monaris Score.

On-chain signal weights (V1)

Tier thresholds

V1 signals (on-chain only)

All V1 signals are derived from on-chain data:
  • Invoice creation, sending, and clearance history
  • Payment timestamps and amounts
  • Counterparty addresses and patterns
  • Wallet transaction history (last 90+ days)

Off-chain signal weights (Available in V2)

Anti-gaming protections

  • Volume minimums prevent tier progression from fake low-value invoices
  • Invoice count minimums require a meaningful number of real transactions
  • Pattern detection identifies circular or artificial transaction flows
  • Account Depth rewards sustained presence — time cannot be faked

MCA update frequency

Real-time. Every cleared invoice, every payment, every relevant event triggers an immediate Score recalculation. There is no batch processing delay. Off-chain data sources refresh periodically based on provider update frequency (e.g. Plaid syncs daily).
