The Monaris Score has four tiers. Each tier has minimum Score, minimum invoice count, and minimum verified volume requirements. All three must be met — you cannot reach a tier on points alone. The Monaris Credit Algorithm (MCA) calculates your Score from on-chain cashflow and, optionally, off-chain data (bank accounts, credit scores, accounting tools). Connecting off-chain sources can accelerate your progression through tiers.

What it means: You are establishing your cashflow history. Every user starts here. The focus is on creating invoices, clearing payments, and building initial momentum. What you can access: Monaris AR/AP, Private Pay, cashflow picture, Mona insights.

What it means: You have consistent, verifiable payment patterns. Your cashflow history is strong enough to start proving your financial reliability to others. What you can access: Everything in Building, plus Score sharing, selective disclosure, credit pre-approval view. At Score 700+: Monaris Credit eligibility and Invoice Advance.

Trusted (850–1000)

What it means: Institutional-grade cashflow history. Your financial identity is deep enough for significant credit access and priority terms. What you can access: Everything in Established, plus priority credit terms, Monaris BNPL full access, up to $50,000 credit.

What it means: Top 1% of Monaris users. Elite cashflow history with the highest trust band in the system. What you can access: Everything in Trusted, plus up to $250,000 credit, institutional credit routing, premium terms.

Why volume minimums exist

A Score cannot be gamed by creating fake invoices for 1each.TheScorerequiresbothpoints(earnedthroughrealbehavior)ANDvolume(realmoneymoving).Establishedrequires1 each. The Score requires both points (earned through real behavior) AND volume (real money moving). Established requires 500 in verified settled volume. Trusted requires $5,000. This is non-negotiable and non-bypassable.

The critical rule

You cannot reach a tier on Score points alone. A user with 510 points but only $13 in total volume does not qualify for Established. All three requirements — Score, invoices, and volume — must be met simultaneously.

FAQ

How long does it take to reach Established? It depends on your activity. A freelancer clearing 2–3 invoices per month could reach Established in 3–4 months. More frequent invoicing and higher volume can accelerate this. Can I skip tiers? No. Tiers are sequential. Every user starts at Building and progresses through the same ladder. What happens if my Score drops below a tier threshold? Your tier updates in real time. If your Score drops below 510, you move back to Building. If it recovers, you move back up — assuming volume and invoice requirements are still met. Is Verified+ available to everyone? Verified+ is invite-only. Meeting the minimum requirements makes you eligible, but access is at Monaris’s discretion.
