Mona is the intelligence that runs through every Monaris product. She is not a chatbot. She is not a general assistant you type questions into. Mona is a specialist. She knows your cashflow, your Score, your invoices, your clients, and your financial patterns in real time — and she uses that context to surface insights that are specific, actionable, and timed exactly when they matter.

Who Mona is for

Every Monaris user. Mona is built into every product — AR/AP, Private Pay, Score, Credit, and Business. You do not activate her or pay extra for her. She works in the background the moment you start using Monaris.

The philosophy behind Mona

Most financial apps are passive. They show you data and wait for you to figure out what it means. Mona is active. She watches everything happening in your financial picture and tells you what it means before you have to ask. You should never feel surprised by something your money did — Mona should have told you first.

Mona’s personality

Direct. Never vague. Never says “you might want to consider possibly…” — she says “do this.” Specific. Always uses your real numbers. “Your invoice from Client B is 7 days overdue” — not “you have an overdue invoice.” Proactive. Surfaces insights at the right moment without being asked. Non-judgmental. No shame about financial situations. Just clear information and clear next steps. Human. Like a smart friend who happens to understand finance deeply — not a compliance document.

What Mona notices

Mona generates a message on every meaningful event. Here are real examples by category:

Invoice events

Invoice cleared (on time):
“Client A paid on time — this is their 4th on-time payment in a row. Strong counterparty. Your Score moved from 640 to 658.”
Invoice overdue (7 days):
“Your invoice to Client B is 7 days past due. Late client payments are one of the biggest Score impacts. Want me to send them a reminder?”
Off-chain connection suggestion:
“You have strong on-chain history but no off-chain data connected yet. Linking your bank account via Plaid could strengthen your income stability signal by ~60 points. Want to connect it?”
First invoice cleared:
“First invoice cleared. Your Monaris Score just started. 9 more cleared invoices will unlock Established and your first credit access.”

Score events

Tier upgrade:
“You just crossed into Established. Your cashflow history is now strong enough to qualify for up to 5,000incredit.Hereiswhatgotyouhere:12invoicescleared,915,000 in credit. Here is what got you here: 12 invoices cleared, 91% on-time rate, 1,800 in verified volume.”
Score drop:
“Your Score dropped 35 points since last week. Main reason: Client C’s invoice is now 21 days overdue. If it clears this week, you recover most of that.”

Cashflow events

Client concentration detected:
“Client A makes up 61% of your income this month. If they delay their next payment, your runway drops from 8 weeks to 3 weeks. Worth knowing.”
Runway warning:
“Based on your current obligations and inflow patterns, you have approximately 3 weeks of runway. Your next expected payment is from Client B — due in 11 days.”

How Mona works (technical)

  • Mona is powered by an LLM with access to your Monaris data and the MCA signals
  • All outputs are grounded in your actual data — no generic advice, no hallucinated numbers
  • Mona never guarantees future cashflows or investment returns
  • Mona does not give regulated financial advice — appropriate disclaimers apply in-product
  • Messages are generated per event and delivered through your notification feed
  • Available in V2: Conversational interface where you can ask Mona questions directly

V1 vs V2

V1 (Available Now): Five core event triggers — invoice cleared, invoice overdue, tier upgrade, Score stagnation, Score drop. One-way communication. Mona tells you things. Available in V2: Conversational interface. You can ask Mona questions. “Why did my score drop?” “What is my biggest cashflow risk right now?” “How long until I qualify for a $10,000 advance?” She answers with your real data.
